Q: How do I request services from Physical Plant?
A: Call a Customer Service Rep or use the Work Requestor.
 
Q: Who do I contact for information about billing and accounting questions?
A: Contact Doris Harris, the PPCS Accounting group manager, at doharris@berkeley.edu.
 
Q: How do I find out the status of a Work Order?
A: If you submitted the Work Order over the Web using the Work Requestor, you can use the Span Reports to find the status of your work order. If you have questions about getting access to the Work Requestor or Span Reports, call a Customer Service Rep.
 
Q: Can I request services over the Web?
A: Yes, through either the Work Requestor for Work Orders or the Capital Projects PRR web site.
 
Q: How do I get new keys made?
A: Call the PPCS lock shop.
 
Q: Where do I get information about services that Physical Plant offers?
A: Either on this website, of by contacting one of our Customer Service Representatives.
 
Q: How do I get in touch with the person who was working on my service request?
A: Call a Customer Service Rep.

Q: I'm planning an outdoor event. Are there any special recycling and/or refuse issues I should take into consideration?
A: Yes! For more information, please contact Lisa Bauer, Recycling & Refuse Manager, at 643-4612, or email lisabauer@berkeley.edu.
 
Q: Who should I call to request the following items: porta-potties, litter bins, larger garbage receptacles, and/or recycling services?
A: Please call Lisa Bauer, Recycling & Refuse Manager, at 643-4612, or Fran Bridgett, Administrative Assistant, at 643-3583.
 
Q: I'm organizing a function at an outside venue (Campanile Esplanade, Memorial Glade, Men's Faculty Glade, etc.) whom should I contact regarding garbage/litter clean-up?
A: Please call Fran Bridgett at 643-3583
 
Q: Someone has gotten sick outside of my building, whom should I contact?
A: Contact a Customer Service Rep and place a M.O.P. work order for Grounds.
 
Q: Do you provide pest management services on a routine basis? If so, what services do you provide?
A: We do indeed! We regularly establish Service Agreements with campus units to provide services for a standard monthly charge. Among the services we provide: design consultation, sanitation advice and training, periodic inspections, and, of course, pest management. We use least toxic pest control methods some that have been recognized nationally. Contact the Grounds Office at 643-3583 for a consultation.
 
Q: I've found a large amount of trash, fluorescent tubes or computer monitors on campus grounds. Whom should I call?
A: Contact a Customer Service Rep and provide them with the location of the trash. Depending on the types of trash, various campus units may be involved. For example, the PPCS Building Maintenance Workers dispose of fluorescent tubes. The PPCS Grounds Unit handles miscellaneous trash, and Environmental Health & Safety disposes of computer monitors.
 
Q: Who do I call to order litter boxes for a special event?
A: Contact a Customer Service Rep with your account string and the number of litter boxes needed along with the dates and times for delivery and removal.
 
Q: Sprinklers have been on for a long time, whom should I call?
A: Contact a Customer Service Rep to place a M.O.P. work order for Grounds.
 
Q: In my building there will be a seminar this weekend, and I need litter services, whom should I contact?
A: If there is any part of your function that will be occurring outdoors, i.e.: picnic lunch, coffee breaks, etc. you will need to place a recharge work order for Grounds. Contact a Customer Service Rep for clean up and removal of trash after and/or during the event. If it is solely indoors you will need to contact a Customer Service Rep to place a work order for indoor litter containers that are provided by Custodial Services.

Q: The text on the PP-CS site is very small. How can I change that?
A: You can alter the way the text is displayed in your browser (in Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator) by going to the View menu > Text Size (or Text Zoom) and increasing the setting there. For reasons we have not yet uncovered, a small percentage of our Internet Explorer users' browsers are set to display text "smaller" without those users' consent! This is a mystery to us, but we've tried to minimize the impact of this occurrance on the usability of our site.
