Submit PRRs over the Web
Capital Projects and Physical Plant-Campus Services are pleased to announce a new way
of doing business with our Berkeley campus clients. The process for initiating a customer
funded minor construction or renovation project valued below $50,000 has been simplified
and streamlined with a new web-based system.
In the past, a renovation project was initiated with a Physical Resource Request (PRR),
a triplicate form used to request a project, solicit estimates, and transfer funds.
The new method for starting a project is web-based and consistent with the accounting
changes brought about by the Berkeley Financial System (BFS). The new on-line form,
a Project Renovation Requisition (PRR), is available at
http://prr.berkeley.edu. This new form
requires additional information to meet BFS requirements, but has a similar look to
the old form. It will, however, be submitted electronically, and all correspondence
will take place via e-mail. This process will result in more accurate project tracking
and improved response times. Effective with this notice, requests for renovation or
minor construction projects should all be submitted via the web.
